About Final Fantasy XII
FFXII is a story about a world called Ivalice and the turmoil it is in after the Archadian Empire invaded and overtook the kingdom of Dalmasca. The story centers on a young man named Vaan, who is trying to find his place in life, and a way to avenge his brother's death.
About Ashelia
Ashe is the crown princess of Dalmasca, and the only surviving member of the royal bloodline of the Dynast-King Raithwall. She initially fights within a resistance movement to gain the Dalmascan throne back from the Empire, but joins up with Vaan after circumstance throws them together. She is stubborn, courageous, and selfless when it comes to her kingdom.
About Balthier
Balthier is a Sky Pirate who roams the clouds on his airship Strahl with his partner Fran, a Viera. He is driven intially by money, and the idea that the loot to be gained while accompanying Vaan is worth the trouble, but eventually decides to stay with the party because any self-respecting "leading man" would want to see how the story ends. He is flippant, quick, and goes through life with a surprisingly care-free attitude.
Why Balthier and Ashe?
Balthier and Ashe, whatever your take on the relationship between them, have a unique bond since fate threw them together. Ever since Ashe uttered the famous words to him, "steal me!", the two have been interacting as party members and comrades in arms.
